Music Man Joe Will Make You Smile

Retired mason worker Jocephus Lomax, a.k.a. “Music Man Joe,” traded his native Mississippi for Minnesota in 1978, a move that introduced him to the time-honored tradition of street busking. Gleaming trumpet in hand, case open to any passersby, he now spends much of his leisure time performing at farmers markets and sporting events, his music weaving into the soundtrack of the Twin Cities.
